Operation Write Home Memorial Day Blog Hop (with Giveaway)

Hi and welcome to the 2013 Operation Write Home Memorial Day Blog Hop! If you've just stumbled upon my blog, you can click on the picture above to return to the start of the hop. I am so excited to be taking part in the hop this weekend. I'll keep it short since I know that there are more than 100 blogs to visit today.

The theme of this year's hop is Thank You cards either for the soldiers themselves (Any Hero cards) or for them to send home. I created one of each.

First up is my Thank You card for the soldiers to send home to their loved ones featuring a digital stamp found over at Some Odd Girl.  The OWH sketch I used was #134.

Supplies:  Teal cardstock by Bazzill, patterned paper from Follow Your Heart-Be
Amazing collection at My Mind's Eye. Digi stamp Guitar Cody from Some Odd Girl colored with
Copics (BG000, BG18, E51, E53, E55, R00 and Y19). Doily die from Spellbinders.

Next up is my Any Hero card based on OWH sketch #78. I used traditional patriotic images and colors in this simple, but heartfelt thank you to our soldiers.

Supplies: Cardstock from Bazzill. Stamp from Hero Arts, white embossing powder, ribbon from Celebrate It.

* GIVEAWAY ALERT*

Scroll down to Friday's post to see the Blog Hop candy that I will be giving away to one lucky visitor and then come back and leave a comment below to be entered to win!

Thanks for joining me today on the Operation Write Home Memorial Day Blog Hop! I hope you are feeling inspired to make a card for our soldiers.
